SnakeWorld
A downloadable SnakeWorld
A small game I did to become familiar with Pygame and the game development world.
After following a tutorial I saw on youtube, I started thinking of ways I could make it my own, more interesting to the player. So with the help of my friend Rodrigo, I came up with 3 ideas:
1 - Multiplayer game mode: Play with a friend on the same keyboard!
2 - Challenges: A collection of 16 challenges across 4 levels of dificulty where the goal is to eat all the available food. But be careful, all eaten food becomes a wall
3 - Custom maps: Yes, you heard it right. Create and play your own maps, alone or with a friend ;)
To create a custom map, click or drag the mouse across the cells to make walls, or click a wall to remove it. Once you're happy click enter to chose the starting position of player 1, then click enter to chose starting position of player 2. Finally chose the name for your new map.
Finally, if you feel like the fun you had is worth a dollar, do not hesitate on giving a small donation :)

Youtube tutorial I followed for main gameplay:
22/03/26 - Fixed bug when trying to create custom map while dragging the mouse out of the game
03/04/26 - Added two new speeds. Challenges box will be colored based on best speed (green will only be shown if beaten at max speed). Removed annoying window pop up when dying or beating a challenge.
